    Guides

How do I find the chords of a song?

Choose the song above. The chords appear in order as it plays, with the key and the tempo. Transpose them for your voice or a capo, and copy the chord sheet.

    From any audio file

It listens to the recording itself, so it works on any song you have as an MP3, WAV or video, not only songs in a library.

    Transpose for a capo

Move the chords up or down in semitones. With a capo on the second fret, transpose down two to see the shapes you play.

    Questions

Can I find the chords of any song?

Yes, from any recording you have. Songs with clear harmony give the most accurate chords.

    How accurate is it?

Major and minor chords in pop, rock and folk songs come out well. Jazz chords and busy mixes are simplified to their main triad.

Can I transpose and copy the chords without changing the audio?

Yes. Transpose changes the chord names, not the sound. For a capo on fret 2, move down 2 semitones to see the shapes to play, then use Copy chords.

    Is it free?

Yes. It runs in your browser at no cost and needs no account.

    Is my song uploaded?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so your file never leaves your device.

    What file formats work?

MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, MP4, MOV and WebM all work, depending on your browser, up to 20 minutes.
