How do I isolate an instrument from a song?

Upload a song and press Solo on the instrument you want to hear. Use Mute to remove that part and practise over the remaining mix.

Which instruments can I separate?

The six stems are vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano and other. Sounds such as strings and synths may share the other stem.

Is it free?

Yes, to try. Without an account you hear the first minute of any file and can download it as an MP3. A plan does whole files and downloads them in studio quality, from US$6 a month, with the first month at US$1 for new customers.

What file formats and lengths work?

MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, MP4, MOV and WebM all work, depending on your browser. Songs can be up to 20 minutes. Each stem downloads as a 24-bit WAV, the mix as you set it as one WAV, or all six stems at once as a ZIP.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It works in the browser on iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows, with nothing to install.
