Remove the background music
and keep the voice for your edit.

To reduce music mixed into a video while keeping the speaking voice, separate the audio and keep the Voice track. Download the result, then bring that new file into your TikTok or Reels edit.

If the music is still on its own track in your editing project, lower or mute that track there. Voice separation is useful when the speech and music are already combined in the video file, such as a saved edit or a recording made while music was playing nearby.

Keep the voice and choose how much background remains

  1. Start with the original video file. Use the saved recording or export you want to edit. Choose Choose a file in the music remover and select it. The tool takes a file, not a TikTok or Instagram post link.
  2. Listen to Voice. After separation, choose Voice and press Play. Listen to words that overlap the loudest music, especially quiet syllables and sentence endings.
  3. Compare with Original. Switch the comparison on to hear the source, then off to return to the separated mix. This makes it easier to judge whether the words are still clear.
  4. Adjust Background if needed. Select Both and lower the Background fader. A little background can retain useful room sound or make the voice feel more natural. Select Voice again for the voice-only mix.
  5. Download the mix. Use Download mix to save the chosen result. For supported video export, it combines the picture with your adjusted audio. Check the downloaded file before moving to your editor.

If you receive WAV audio instead of a video

Some browser and video-format combinations cannot export the picture, so the tool returns the mix as WAV audio. Import that WAV and the same original video into your editor. Align the start of the WAV with the start of the clip, then mute the video's old audio so its music does not play alongside the new mix.

Watch a few spoken words near the beginning and end to check sync. Export from your editor once the picture and audio line up. If you trimmed the video separately, apply the matching trim to the audio too.

Finish the social video after the audio is ready

Use the processed video, or the original picture paired with the new WAV, as the source for your edit. Add captions, framing and any replacement soundtrack in your video editor or the destination app. Mirinex does not add social captions or publish a post.

When you add new music, listen under the quietest speech as well as the loudest line. The new soundtrack should support the words you just recovered.

What if the old song or another voice is still audible?

Separation may leave musical traces or change the texture of the voice. Singing in the background can remain because it is also a voice, and the tool does not identify which speaker you want to keep. Compare the difficult section before using the result. A source with cleaner dialogue may work better.

This workflow creates a new file. It does not change the audio of an already-published TikTok or Reel. For ordinary hiss or hum without music, try the noise remover.
